Make the records agree.
A clearer view of every match and mismatch.
Fibo’s reconciliation concept helps a reviewer compare bank statement movements with the books. It keeps possible matches, unexplained amounts and completed review visible so differences can be investigated instead of hidden.
Book a demoBegin with the correct bank account
Choose the bank account and period being reviewed. An account does not need to be permanently labelled as payroll, collections or operations: the same account may support several business activities. Keep the statement’s identity and period clear.
Compare the statement with the books
A useful match brings together the statement amount, date and reference with the relevant bookkeeping record. The reviewer should see why two entries may belong together before confirming the match.
Investigate differences
Fees, timing differences and missing records can explain why amounts do not agree. The workflow should let a reviewer inspect the supporting document and decide what needs recording or correction, rather than force every statement line into a match.
Confirm how data will arrive
Bank connectivity depends on the market and the available integration. Fibo does not currently offer live Egyptian bank feeds. Discuss statement-file formats and account coverage with the team. The public workspace uses sample banking and reconciliation data.
Before you get started
Your questions, answered.
Is reconciliation the same as categorisation?
No. Categorisation chooses an account for a transaction; reconciliation compares the books with an external statement.
Can I connect any Egyptian bank live?
No. Live Egyptian bank feeds are not currently offered.
Can I use more than one account?
The workspace demonstrates multiple bank accounts. Confirm supported account and statement sources for a live implementation.
